Leadership

Jenny Collings - National Director CMFnz, ex-officio Board Member
LLB (Hons), Dip. Bib.Studies

As National Director of CMFnz, Jen works to encourage Christian Doctors and Medical Students to live wholeheartedly for Christ through medicine. Acknowledging the complexity of todays political and public health climates, it is her goal to grow the fellowship, presence and organisation of CMFnz.

Prior to this Jen served as an ordained Minister and Director of social services, specialising in the strategic reintegration of Christian faith and professional practice to bring the whole gospel to welfare and clinical practice. Now an Executive MBA student, she is passionate about leveraging strategic thought and development to lift the impact of Christian organisations. Outside of work and study, you can find her enjoying the company of her much loved husband Marcus (Senior pastor Northcote Baptist Church), sons Hudson (19) and Lincoln (14), friends and Labrador Tess!

Tim Jelleyman - Chairperson

Tim is a paediatrician working in West Auckland. He trained in Auckland and then worked in all sorts of interesting places before returning to Auckland. He is married to Elizabeth, a General Practitioner. Together they count it a privilege to see students and young doctors thriving in their Christian faith as they engage with the challenges of the medical career. Tim joined the CMFnz Board in May 2019.

Philip White - Treasurer

Phil is a GP bringing his experience managing successful general practices and an Urgent Care Centre to his role as Treasurer. From the UK, Phil undertook his medical studies and GP training in England, where his work and faith was strengthened by the support he received there from CMF. Now based in Dunedin he strongly feels that CMFnz members can provide a particular type of support that is not available from non-Christian medical peers or non-medical Christian peers.

Natalie Cadzow - Secretary

Nat is a rural GP trainee based in Timaru. She and her husband Alastair have been involved with CMFnz since their 2nd year as students and have found it extremely valuable in the transition into the medical world. She's keen to connect with and encourage students, early grads and anyone working in the South Canterbury area.

Callum Hammond (Student Representative)

Callum Hammond

Callum is a first-year House Officer with Counties Maukau Health, currently rotating through a variety of specialist teams. He has been involved with CMFnz since 2016 and co-lead the CMFnz group at Grafton Campus in 2017 before serving for a season as Auckland University's CMFnz Student Representative. Now a non-student Board member, Callum firmly believes God uses CMFnz as a network to enable Christian doctors to love and serve each other, our patients, our colleagues, and society as a whole. He is excited to see where God takes CMFnz over the next year!

Min-Jee Wilks

Min-Jee is a paediatric registrar in Auckland. She became a Christian during medical school and has been involved in CMFnz since 2011. She studied at the Venn Fellowship in 2018, taking time to think more deeply about God and her faith. She hopes that CMFnz can be a forum where medical students and doctors can wrestle together about how we are to be as Christian doctors. She is married to Cam, who is a civil engineer, and they have a young son called Jasper.

Alan Vink

Alan started his working life as a Secondary School teacher, then transitioned to pastoral leadership of two Baptist churches for 23 years, followed by the last 17 years in leadership development, consultancy and teaching. Alan has been on numerous Boards of Christian organisations throughout his working life.

Beth Hood - Student Representative Auckland 2023-2024

Beth is currently a third year medical student at the University of Auckland and has been one of the student leaders this year at Grafton Campus. Beth will be on clinical placement at Waikato Hospital in 2024, and is excited to serve her fellow students, patients, and colleagues. She is eager to support the CMF students countrywide, encouraging them to continue to live for Christ and share the amazing news of the gospel.
